The apartment is located
at Carrer Cánovas del Castillo, 63 in Puerto
Sagunto. The municipality of Sagunto has four
Blue Flag beaches on the Mediterranean, all of them
beautiful. The apartment is two blocks from
Puerto Sagunto Beach, the most popular and developed
of the beaches, preferred because of its finer sand
compared to the pebbly beaches further to the
northeast.
The apartment is big for a beach apartment and
suitable for a large family or group, and priced low
because it's a bit older, having been built in 1978,
and has no onsite parking. Street parking is
available in a plaza with diagonal parking spaces a
half block from the apartment.
The apartment is also suitable for those who don't
plan to bring a car to the beach as the area is very
walkable. There are 24 restaurants and coffee
shops and three very good bakeries within a 3-block
radius. Mare Nostrum Plaza is three blocks
away and has more restaurants, two supermarkets, two
banks, a pharmacy and several small specialty
stores. Also nearby are several bars and
discos, making for an active night life.
The building is well maintained with an elegant
lobby and a new elevator. The homeowner's
association fee is € 50 per month. The
apartment is on the second floor as Americans figure
it, or the first floor as designated in Spain, and
is one of two apartments on that floor. Below
the apartment at street level is a video rental
store that operates quietly.
Many beach apartments in Sagunto are not air
conditioned, but ours is, with four independent
units that help save electricity if all are not
needed at once. In the back, there's a
large outdoor terrace with a storage shed. The
purchase price includes a refrigerator, oven, and
dishwasher, and several pieces of furniture,
primarily wardrobes.
